You can read every instruction manual on the shelf for newborn care, but nothing prepares you for the first three months like practicing with a professional. Roll up your sleeves and get ready for this parenting boot camp where, in 2.5 hours, you will learn:

* Diapering, Bathing, Swaddling, Feeding
* “The 5 S’s of Baby Calming”
* How to treat illness, and when to call the doctor
* Our Signature “By Moms, for Moms” tips and tricks to help mom with post-partum challenges
* Reading your newborn’s cues and characteristics.
* We recommend both parents take this class before baby arrives, around the fifth month of pregnancy

Instructor:
Amanda Collison, RN
Amanda is a Registered Nurse based in Oakland, CA. She has extensive nursing experience working in both inpatient (Pediatric ICU) and outpatient (family practice) settings and is currently studying to become a Family Nurse Practitioner at UCSF and will graduate in June 2012. She teaches "Infant and Child CPR" as well as "Postpartum and Newborn Care" classes at The Tulip Grove. She brings a wealth of knowledge to mothers about how to care for their new little one.

The Tulip Grove classes are non-refundable. However, if a cancellation is necessary we require a 48 hour notification for store credit.
