When the fear of the unknown is removed from childbirth, parents confidently make informed and personalized decisions for delivery, and can focus on the joy of the occasion. The Tulip Grove Labor and Childbirth Preparation class provides you with information on the ”real deal” of all the different aspects and scenarios of labor and delivery. We have designed this series to be more informative, modern, relevant and objective than traditional hospital-led classes. While the class schedule is flexible to the fit the needs of expecting parents, the ideal time to start the class series is around your fifth month of pregnancy and be completed by the 36th week of pregnancy. Topics will include:

- Navigating through the final weeks of pregnancy
- Labor Terminology
- Pre-labor signs, Stages of Labor: Active labor, Transition labor, Pushing, Delivery
- Pain management - non-intervention / Pain management – medications, epidurals and anesthesia options
- Creating a birth plan, organizing your support team, and promoting positive communication with your caregiver
- Vaginal delivery
- Causes/Indications for a C-section
- When to leave for the hospital or call your midwife
- Hospital procedures

The Weekend Intensive meets on Saturday 10:00-5:00pm and Sunday 10:00-1:00pm.
The 4 Week Series meets on Wednesdays from 6:30-9:00pm.

The Tulip Grove classes are non-refundable. However, if a cancellation is necessary we require a 48 hour notification for store credit.
